The Bellicose was an Imperial-class Star Destroyer in the Galactic Empire that was captained by Commander Tylux. It was destroyed while chasing a spy of the Alliance to Restore the Republic. The Bellicose was part of a fleet that consisted of at least five Imperial-class Star Destroyers.

The Bellicose was an Imperial-class Star Destroyer[2] and, as such, was manufactured by Kuat Drive Yards[1] and was 1,600 meters in length.[3] It was armed with sixty turbolasers, sixty heavy ion cannon emplacements, and ten tractor beam projectors.[1] The Bellicose was equipped with three KDY Destroyer-I ion engines and four emergency use Cygnus Spaceworks Gemon-4 ion engines. It was also equipped with a solar ionization reactor, two deflector shield generator domes, and a communications tower.[5] It could reach speeds of 975 kph[1] and 60 MGLT.[4]

As an Imperial-class, the Bellicose maintained a complement of twenty AT-ATs, thirty AT-STs, eight Lambda-class T-4a shuttles,[9] two Gozanti-class crusiers,[7] and seventy-two TIE fighter series starfighters,[6] which could be deployed from its two hangar bays.[7] The Bellicose also utilized a hyperdrive[2] and had consumables for two years.[8] It was maintained by a crew consisting of 9,200 officers, 27,850 enlisted, and 9,700 stormtroopers.[9]

The Bellicose served as a warship during the Galactic Civil War, being part of a fleet that consisted of four other Imperial-class Star Destroyers.[2]

During the Galactic Civil War, the Bellicose served under the Galactic Empire's Imperial Navy as part of a fleet. It was captained by Commander Tylux when it participated in a skirmish against Rebel Alliance forces.[2]

The Bellicose debuted in the 2019 canon comic book Vader - Dark Visions 2, which was written by Dennis Hallum and pencilled by Brian Level.[2]
