Batuuan Beef Pot Roast was a meat dish served at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo at Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu[1] in 34 ABY.[3] It was suitable for consumption by humans.[1] Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs made it with Batuuan cows that were grass-fed on Naboo, along with mushrooms, greens, and pasta.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

Batuuan Beef Pot Roast was introduced in the real world as Braised Shaak Roast at the Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo eatery in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge,[4] where it has been available with differing names since the opening in 2019.[5] The dish consists of a beef pot roast with cavatelli pasta, wilted kale, and mushrooms.[4] A recipe for the dish as Braised Shaak Roast is included in the 2019 recipe book Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook, written by Marc Sumerak and Chelsea Monroe-Cassel.[6] Unlike the in-universe version of Braised Shaak Roast,[6] Batuuan Beef Pot Roast does not use shaak.[2]
