During the time of the Clone Wars, the Confederacy of Independent Systems^[1] carried out an attack^[3] on Aq Vetina,^[4] a planet^[5] of humans. The civilians of the settlement were slaughtered by the droid forces of the Separatists, including B2-series super battle droids and HMP droid gunships. During the attack, a number of Mandalorian warriors of Death Watch intervened, fighting back against the battle droids. The young Din Djarin, whose parents were killed in the attack, was rescued by a Mandalorian warrior and taken in as a foundling.^[3]
