An ancient grove associated with the Jedi was located on the moon Alaris Prime. It contained several ruined structures and was described in a Jedi holocron. The grove was accessible by a path through a forest, although the entrance to it was covered by a line of trees.
Description[]
The ancient grove was located within a forest on the moon Alaris Prime. A narrow path led to it, although the entrance was covered with a line of trees. The center of the grove rested on a slightly elevated stretch of land and was surrounded by flowers, with patches of a stone path leading there. At the center were two ruined stone structures and a remnant of a wall.[1]
The grove also contained two narrow rectangular pools paved with stone, one stretching from the northeastern to the north side of the ruins, and another from the north to the northwestern side. Each pool was surrounded by a line of trees on one side, and in between them was another ruined piece of a wall. Mynocks were present at the grove, and one of the pools supported fish.[1]
History[]
The ancient grove had a connection to the Jedi, and information concerning it was recorded in a Jedi holocron on Alaris Prime. During the Wookiee colonization of the moon[1] between 39 BBY and 36 BBY,[2] the holocron was discovered in the camp of the Wookiee Shoran, and was brought to a Jedi temple built to store it.[1]
During the Battle for Alaris Prime, in which the Wookiees fought against the forces of their colonial rivals, the Trade Federation, studies of the holocron were completed, revealing that the ancient grove was situated near a Wookiee base. The Wookiees removed the trees blocking the path to the grove and Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, who had landed at the base to aid the Wookiees, visited it. There, he discovered the ancient knowledge of Jedi Concentration, allowing him to convert the Federation buildings to the Wookiee side through the Force.[1]

The ancient grove appeared in the 2001 LucasArts video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds in the seventh and final level of the Wookiee tutorial campaign, "The Battle for Alaris Prime." Discovering the grove and sending Qui-Gon Jinn there automatically gives the player the ability of Jedi Concentration, which is available for research at the Jedi temples of some civilizations in the standard game mode, but is otherwise inaccessible within the level.[1]
