Adras was a Galactic Empire–held world located in the Outer Rim Territories' Seswenna sector. Shortly before the Battle of Endor, a team of Sullustan Alliance Intelligence officers was tasked with meeting another group of Rebel Alliance agents in order to lead a group of combat starships to join the main Rebel Fleet.

Before the two teams could meet outside the city of Nezan on Adras, the Sullustans were arrested by Imperial authorities and held at a detention center near Nezan. The other Rebel group eventually discovered their allies' fate and helped them escape the detention facility and leave Adras, allowing them and the combat vessel group to rendezvous with the Rebel Fleet.

Description[]

Adras was a world with dark night skies.[3] It was located in the Seswenna sector's Adras system,[1] a part of the Trailing Sectors portion of[2] the Outer Rim Territories.[1]

History[]

By 4 ABY,[4] Adras was under the control of the Galactic Empire. Shortly before the Battle of Endor between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance, a team of Sullustan Alliance Intelligence officers was tasked with leading a group of combat starships to rendezvous with the main Rebel Fleet near[3] the Brema sector planet[5] Sullust.[3]

Rendezvous near Nezan[]

To achieve their objective, the Sullustans were to meet another group of Rebel agents on Adras, outside of the city of Nezan. The group carried a datadisk containing the coordinates of the Rebel Fleet and were to pick up the Sullustans, who possessed a decrypter that allowed them to access the information on the datadisk.[3]

However, before the meeting could take place, the Sullustans were detained by Imperial officials on charges of expired identification documents and held at a detention center on Nezan's outskirts. When the Sullustans failed to show up at the meeting site, the group of Rebel agents entered Nezan, where, through several sessions of information trading and risky encounters with Imperial personnel, they were able to determine the fate of the missing Intelligence officers.[3]

Escape from Adras[]

Rebel agents on Adras helped bring reinforcements to the Alliance Fleet (pictured) prior to the Battle of Endor.

After making their way into the detention center, the group of Rebel agents finally met the Sullustan officers, and together the two teams escaped the facility. Upon learning of the detainees' escape, the Imperial authorities launched a city-wide alert, forcing the Rebels to sneak onto their starship under the cover of darkness.[3]

The Rebel ship then took off and evaded a squadron of Imperial TIE Interceptor starfighters attempting to shoot down the vessel. The Sullustan officers and their allies eventually departed Adras and met up with the Rebel Fleet off Sullust, where the group of combat vessels successfully joined the impending Rebel attack on the Empire's second Death Star battlestation above the moon of Endor.[3]

Locations[]

Adras was the site of a city named Nezan. A detention center was located on the city's outskirts.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

Adras was created for the 1995 Second Edition of the West End Games sourcebook Galaxy Guide 5: Return of the Jedi. The Second Edition was authored by Michael Stern and George R. Strayton for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. In the book, Adras appears in an adventure seed named "Escape to Sullust." This article assumes the scenario plays out as described.[3]

The StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Adras system, and therefore the world of Adras, in grid square M-17.[1]
