A contest of the Core Gladiator Walker League, the 12th Solassi Interzonals Challenge Match was held at some point between 2 BBY and 1 ABY and saw the teams Demelza's Destructors and Hansor's Hooligans compete against each other. During the competition, the gladiator walkers of Hooligan's captain, Madrix Hansor, and Destructors' Jandri Garn, both suffered damage to the point where the match was declared a draw. By two years later, the contest had been the only instance of the two rival teams meeting in a competition.

Prelude[]

The 12th Solassi Interzonals Challenge Match was a gladiator walker contest of the Core Gladiator Walker League.^[1] It shared its name with the Core Worlds Solassus system^[3] and took place at some point between 2 BBY and 1 ABY.^[2] The contest pitted the teams Demelza's Destructors and Hansor's Hooligans against each other, with both of the teams and their captains, Demelza Mintori and Madrix Hansor, being engaged in a bitter rivalry.^[1]

The match[]

During the match, the gladiator walkers of Hansor and Demelza's point guard, Jandri Garn, both suffered extensive damage to the point where the contest was declared a draw, with neither of the two participants advancing to the following round.^[1]

Aftermath[]

The 12th Solassi Interzonals Challenge Match proved to be the only occasion where individual members of Demelza's Destructors and Hansor's Hooligans had competed against each other by the time when, two years later, Hooligans issued a personal challenge to the Destructors. The historic match was then mentioned in a news report that was subsequently included in the fiftieth-anniversary edition of Galladinium's Galactic Datalog of Fantastic Technology.^[1]
