The "Precision-X" Marksman Rifle, known simply as the "Precision-X" blaster, was a type of specialized, long-ranged blaster rifle manufactured by Cadregg Armory. The blaster utilized a series of cycling chambers to excite the blaster gas used in the rifle, in order to produce extraordinarily intense beams of energy. These beams were only slightly more powerful than those from similar weapons, but maintained coherence over long distances. This allowed the rifle to maintain its stopping power far past a typical blaster's range limitations. The cycling chamber's effects also extended to the weapon's stun setting, allowing targets to be stunned at medium ranges. The blaster could be equipped with a single hard point.[1]

Costing 1,500 credits, the "Precision-X" blaster was one of the first weapons manufactured by Cadregg Armory. The demand for the weapon's special capabilities was in such high demand by sport shooters, assassins, and bounty hunters, that its manufacturer could barely keep a stock of the weapon.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

The "Precision-X" Marksman Rifle was first mentioned in No Disintegrations,[1] a 2017 supplement for the Star Wars: Edge of the Empire roleplaying game published by Fantasy Flight Games.[2]
