Update 1.9 is a major update containing many new features.
Diamond Characters[]
Diamond is a new tier introduced and three characters are part of it: Scorpion/Hellspawn, Mileena/Ravenous, and Raiden/Klassic. These characters have extremely high stats and have very unique passives, which can be upgraded twice for 10 and 30 Souls, respectively. In addition, all have an extra "wild card" equipment slot where players can put any type of equipment into. Their base power generation is 130%, compared to the normal 100% of silvers and golds.
New Challenges[]
There are 6 new challenge characters, including a 3 week long Challenge Rush event, where players may obtain the Triborg characters. In addition to those, Sub-Zero/Kold War, Ermac/Pharaoh, and Sonya Blade/Klassic are also added as normal challenges.
Other Stuff[]
- There are many new packs, a Early Access Pack for each new challenge character, a Triborg pack featureing all three Triborgs, an updated Challenge Pack, and the brand new Elite Pack, which features the Diamond Tier characters.
- A new Rare equipment has been added for the Triborg character, and a new Epic equipment has been added to the Faction War Store, named Datusha, Bane of the Moroi.
- The amount of Blood Rubies earned at the end of a season has been increased by a decent amount.
