Comparative units of area[]

  • During the Enterprise's visit to Ligon II in 2364, Captain Jean-Luc Picard observed several lengths of metal in the yard outside. When he inquired to Data what they were for, Data explained, "Uncertain, sir. However, joined together they would make a rectangle or square enclosing 121 square meters. If put end to end vertically, they would make a pole 44 meters high, or two of 22 meters." (TNG: "Code of Honor")
