Shawn Ahmed (born 14 January 1986; age 38) is an actor who played Ensign Shankar in the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds first season episodes "Lift Us Where Suffering Cannot Reach" and "The Serene Squall".

He has been performing on stage since elementary school, and earned a degree in Economics and Economics History at the University of Toronto. Since the early 2000s, he appeared in supporting and bit roles in several television series, including Soul Food, Odd Squad, Orphan Black, Designated Survivor (with Rothaford Gray), Private Eyes, two episodes of The Expanse (with Shohreh Aghdashloo, Shawn Doyle, Atticus Mitchell, Danijel Mandic, Jeremy Crittenden, and Hamza Fouad), the 2019 reboot of The Twilight Zone (with John Cho and John Larroquette), Supergirl, Hudson & Rex, and Legends of Tomorrow (with Saad Siddiqui).

Ahmed had a supporting part in the 2006 TV movie Flight 93, which starred Jeffrey Nordling, and featured Gwynyth Walsh in the cast, and in the 2009 horror sequel Saw VI, alongside Mark Rolston. He played a supporting role in the 2020 Hallmark Channel original TV movie Love on Harbor Island, starring Morgan Kohan.
