The Serene Squall was a pirate vessel operated in space outside the Federation in the 2250s by Captain Angel. It had a mixed-species crew and conducted raids along the border of Federation space. It was briefly commandeered by Starfleet Captain Christopher Pike and his senior officers in 2259, after which it and its crew were taken into custody. (SNW: "The Serene Squall")
