Rose was a young female Human native of Terralysium, who was working with Jacob to restore electricity in the church of New Eden.
When the landing party from the USS Discovery visited her world, she was very interested in their equipment. She was examining one of their hand phasers when she accidentally caused it to discharge. Luckily, Captain Christopher Pike was able to push her out of the way in time, causing him to suffer from the phaser blast instead.
Rose was later present along with the All-Mother Amesha and Jacob when the landing party beamed up.
She also was surprised to see the power in the church of New Eden come on, after Jacob had installed a Federation power cell. (DIS: "New Eden")
