Pixmit cards
Pixmit were triangular cards created by the Romulans. They depicted elements of Romulan culture such as shaipouin ("false door") and Seb-Cheneb ("the Destroyer"). Pixmit could be used for games like playing cards, or arranged to form patterns. (PIC: "The End is the Beginning", "Absolute Candor")
In 2385, several Romulans were playing zhamaq with pixmit at the Romulan Social Club on Vashti when Admiral Jean-Luc Picard beamed down. (PIC: "Absolute Candor")
In 2399, the Romulan xB Ramdha was arranging pixmit when she was visited by Soji Asha and Hugh. Asha, who knew of the cards, wondered if Ramdha was using the cards to tell fortunes, was making a kind of mandala, or if she was associating its images with Romulan mythology. She continued to place the cards while Asha spoke with her, until the final card led her to accuse Asha of being Seb-Cheneb. After the incident, Asha took to studying the cards. According to placards seen at Star Trek: The Cruise's Maritime Starfleet Museum in Winter 2020, the name of these cards were spelled as pikhmit. Furthermore, it was stated that these cards had been used for centuries. [1]
