The Parnassus system was a star system located just outside Federation space, adjacent to the Shangdi system. It contained six planets, of which the second was Parnassus Beta, the site of a Human colony.
In 2259, part of this system was claimed by the Gorn Hegemony. (SNW: "Hegemony")
The name of this system was given in the USS Cayuga's file in the Federation Starship Database.
In an unused graphic shared by Timothy Peel, the planets of this system are named: Parnassus Alpha, Parnassus Beta, Parnassus Gamma, Parnassus Zeta, Parnassus Delta, and Parnassus Epsilon. Parnassus Zeta is a ringed planet. [1]
