Orly Sitowitz is the casting director of Star Trek: Discovery alongside Margery Simkin.
Sitowitz is also working as casting director on American Gods under showrunner Bryan Fuller and with Simkin. She started in the casting department as a casting assistant on the 1996 TV movie Sweet Temptation featuring Judyann Elder.
Between 1984 and 2000 Sitowitz also worked as an actress appearing both in television and movies. She appeared in two episodes of The Colbys (featuring Stephanie Beacham, Ricardo Montalban and Tracy Scoggins) as well as Chicago Hope, Melrose Place (in an episode featuring David Gautreaux) and Judging Amy. Her final acting appearance was the TV movie Murder in the Mirror (2000).
O. Sitowitz was named after her on the dedication plaque of the USS Shenzhou.
