Nami Melumad (born 5 December 1988; age 35) is an Israeli/Dutch composer who wrote the music score for Star Trek: Prodigy and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (sans the main title theme). She also scored the Star Trek: Short Treks second season episode "Q&A". For her work on the first season of Strange New worlds, she received in 2023 a Society of Composers and Lyricists Award in the "Emerging Talent" category. In the same year she received an Emmy Award nomination for her wok on Prodigy.

Career[]

She has composed or orchestrated for a number of productions including The Little Mermaid (2018), Church & State (2018), Abenstia (2019), and An American Pickle (2020, with Michael Giacchino). In 2022, she co-wrote the score for the Marvel superhero movie Thor: Love and Thunder (starring Chris Hemsworth), also with Giacchino.
