Michelle Paradise (born 12 January 1972; age 52) is an actress, writer, and producer who worked on Star Trek: Discovery. She joined the Discovery creative staff during the second season, where she served as co-executive producer. She was promoted to executive producer and co-showrunner (with Alex Kurtzman) for the third, fourth, and fifth seasons. She also wrote and co-wrote ten episodes of the series.
Paradise also had a voice-over cameo role as a Starfleet officer in the fifth season episode "Life, Itself".
Before her tenure on Star Trek, Paradise served as executive producer and head writer and starred as documentary filmmaker Jennifer in the independent comedy series Exes & Ohs which was based on her own life. Chelah Horsdal appeared in a recurring role, while Cathy DeBuono and Adrian Holmes had guest roles on this show.
From 2013 to 2018, Paradise served as writer, executive story editor, as well as co-producer, producer, supervising producer, and co-executive producer on the CW vampire series The Originals. This show featured Todd Stashwick, Sonja Sohn, and Meg Foster in recurring roles and Paul Wesley, Donny Boaz, and David Chattam in guest roles.
She also wrote an episode of Hart of Dixie (with Cress Williams and Eric Pierpoint) and an episode of Rogue, as well as the 2019 TV movie Trapped: The Alex Cooper Story (with Ian Lake and Wilson Cruz).
