The Mayflower-type was a starship class in service to Starfleet in the mid-23rd century. This design had two nacelles connected to the underside of the primary hull by swept pylons.
Three ships of this type, including USS Mayflower, were docked to Starbase 1 prior to the destruction of Vulcan in 2258. The Mayflower participated in a battle with the Narada and was destroyed. (Star Trek)

The roll bar/saucer design bears a similarity to the the Miranda-class of the prime universe.

In the Blu-ray special "Starships" a ship of this type is labeled as the USS Defiant (NCC-1764) (β). The Gizmotron models 1/2500 scale model kit names this ship type as the Federation frigate.[1](X)
A ship of this class appeared to be docked at berth A0 in the wider rendering of the departure scene from Star Trek Into Darkness seen on the cover of Cinefex, Issue 134. [2]
