I think the instructions on this page are obsolete[]

After having not logged in for a while, I couldn't find a link to log in. Eventually I found this page, which says to click on the "Sign in" link on the dropdown menu in the top right of the page. Unfortunately, I see no dropdown menu in the top right. Fortunately, the text "Sign in" in that seemingly obsolete instruction is a link to a login page, so I was able to log in. But (unless I'm missing something here) it seems like this page should be updated with new instructions. Also, the page contains several other "top right" references (to things other than logging in), which also don't seem to really exist (e.g. "preferences", "my talk", "sign out"), so I think they should be updated too. Yeah, you're right... those instructions applied to the old skin. Most of those functions that used to be in the upper right of the page have been moved to the lower left, and our help text needs to be modified to reflect that. It's just something that slipped through the cracks with the upgrade. Thanks for bringing it to our attention! -- Renegade54 (talk) 15:13, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
I agree with the OP. I cannot seem to figure out how to login to the site. Herb987 (talk) 22:06, 6 June 2022 (UTC)
Note: these instructions assume you're using a browser on a computer. At the bottom left corner of any page there's an icon of the head and shoulders of a person in a circle. (Right above that is another icon of a bell.) Hover over the icon of the person and you should see a pop-up menu with two buttons: one at the top of the menu that's labeled "Register" and one at the bottom labeled "Sign In". If you haven't registered yet, click on the "Register" button and follow the instructions. If you've already registered, click on the "Sign In" button to enter your username and password. That's it! -- Renegade54 (talk) 23:17, 6 June 2022 (UTC)
it's on the top right for me when it's not on the bottom left. So clearly it just needs a tweak adding an 'either or.' --Gvsualan (talk) 23:39, 6 June 2022 (UTC)
