Love in the Time of Holograms was a holo-novel program written by The Doctor. It was about a physician who created holo-duplicates of himself in order to be in two places at once. However, the love triangle grew more complicated, eventually evolving into a love hexagon. Zero once distracted The Doctor by asking him about it. (PRO: "Observer's Paradox")

The novel was later the inspiration for the USS Protostar crew creating holo-duplicates of themselves in order to avoid detection, which lasted for a week. After Hologram Dal mentioned that the mystery was like the one in The Doctor's novel, he finally put it together. The Doctor then complained that he was "betrayed by my own brilliant storylines." (PRO: "Imposter Syndrome", "Is There in Beauty No Truth?")
