"Premiere Special" is the 44th episode of The Ready Room, and the first produced to deal with DIS Season 4 and covers the episode "Kobayashi Maru" and the Star Trek: Prodigy mid-season finale, "Terror Firma".
It is the 28th episode of The Ready Room hosted by Wil Wheaton and featured the guests Sonequa Martin-Green and Kate Mulgrew.
It was the first episode of The Ready Room to be shot on the aftershow's new set, and the first to have an in-person guest since the "Away Mission Special" in July 2020. During that time, The Ready Room had been shot in Wheaton's home, with all guests appearing via remote video link, due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
