Katherine Blum (born 19 September 1974; age 49) was a young girl who received credit for playing a Vulcan child in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. In the final edit of the film however, her scene was cut. This would have been scene 276, a scene in which the USS Enterprise crew carried Spock up to Mount Seleya. Blum's character released herself from her father's grip, went to the body of Spock, performed the Vulcan salute, and said "Live long and prosper, Spock." The script listed her as "Small Girl". [1]

An image of her greeting Spock from the scene later appeared in the reference book Star Trek: Costumes (p. 71), where it noted how "Fletcher's head covering for one observer at the fal-tor-pan ceremony included an opening for Vulcan ears."

Blum's scene has otherwise not appeared on film as part of any known release of Star Trek III. This is Blum's only known acting credit.

Blum attended later attended the University of California at Berkeley where she earned a B.A. in Political Science, before earning a J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of the Law, and later practiced law as an attorney in the State of California. [2]
