Judgment was one of the concepts which existed in the mind. It was the ability of an individual to evaluate evidence when making a decision or reaching a conclusion.
An individual who had good judgement was said to possess the quality of wisdom, whereas one who lacked good judgment had the quality of foolishness.
In 2254, after learning about the remarkable health of the survivors from the crashed SS Columbia from Doctor Phil Boyce, Captain Christopher Pike was informed by Doctor Theodore Haskins that there was a reason for this condition. Although he expressed reservations about it being revealed, Dr. Haskins permitted Vina to show the secret to the captain and would accept Pike's judgment on whether the secret should be learned by Earth.
