For the actor with the same name, please see John Anderson.

Captain John Anderson was a Human Starfleet officer who lived during the late 24th century.

Starfleet career[]

Anderson was the commanding officer of Starbase 25 in 2381.

Upon the arrival of the USS Cerritos to the base escorting the Doopler emissary, that year, Anderson greeted Captain Carol Freeman, and judged by their arrival at the station that they had a good trip with their Doopler guest. When Anderson witnessed Freeman cause the emissary to Dooplercate on the bridge, he told her, at the risk not having the station being overrun with Dooplers, that he wouldn't allow the Cerritos to dock until she had the situation sorted out; news of which caused further Dooplercation by the emissary.

Anderson later attended the Command Conference afterparty, where he spoke with another Starfleet captain, before intentionally walking away addressing Thadiun Okona, in order to ignore Captain Freeman as she called out his name to confirm her invitation into the afterparty.

A short time later, Anderson was speaking with Captains Exley (and his number one) and Elizabeth Shelby (and her number one), when he snidely acknowledged the Doopler emissary's sudden beam in, stating, "Excuse me? This is a private party," which caused the Doopler to rapidly Dooplercate once again. (LD: "An Embarrassment Of Dooplers")

Personal life[]

Anderson was fond of 20th century aircraft, and included models and photographs of several such craft, an aviator helmet and goggles, a parachute harness release, and a portrait of Amelia Earhart in his ready room. (LD: "An Embarrassment Of Dooplers")
