Hector Berlioz (11 December 18038 March 1869; age 65) was given credit for his composition of "Vallone Sonore" [sic] from "Les Troyens" that was heard in Star Trek: First Contact. The piece in question was performed by Ryland Davies and The Orchestra and Chorus of the Royal Opera House, Convent Garden, and was conducted by Sir Collin Davis. Furthermore, the use of the performance was granted courtesy of Phillips Classics by arrangement with PolyGram Film & TV Licensing.
