Gem's ship
Gem's ship was a small multi-deck Ferengi starship operated by Captain Gem.
While traveling in Ferengi space, this ship was attacked and believed to have been destroyed by Nova One with all hands lost in 2381. As a result of the ship's assumed destruction and the subsequent disruption caused to Ferengi trade routes by the same intruder, Grand Nagus Rom, desperate for supplies, took the first step of applying for membership to the Federation. It was revealed later on that the ship and several other ships were not being destroyed but were stolen and the fate of Gem and his crew remained a mystery. (LD: "A Few Badgeys More") Gem and his first officer were later discovered on Sherbal V. (LD: "The Inner Fight")
