Escape route
An escape route or emergency exit was a designated route that a person would head toward to find an exit to get away from danger, especially during an evacuation alert.
For buildings with multiple stories, fire escapes were used as escape routes, whereas escape pods were used on spaceships.
Sometimes doors had a sign that said "Emergency Exit" on them, indicating to leave the building through that door in the event of an emergency.
In 1986 on the naval ship Enterprise, there was an escape route clearly marked while Pavel Chekov was on board. (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home)
