For the nebula of the same name, see Bubble Nebula.

A bubble is a globule of one substance in another, either a gas in a liquid (air in water) or a liquid in a gas (soap in air). One example of bubbling is in the spontaneous nucleation of supersaturated carbon dioxide in beverages such as beer.

Bubble bath was used to make bubbles for bathing. (LD: "An Embarrassment Of Dooplers")

Nitrogen bubbles in a Human's blood caused the condition known as "the bends". (TOS: "The Empath")

A warp bubble is a type of bubble formed by a warp field in subspace. (TNG: "Remember Me")

The wind dancer was a hologram of a colorful disembodied head which floated in a bubble, acting as sentry on the Parallax colony. When confronted by this sentry, Worf merely popped him and passed through. (TNG: "Cost Of Living")

A neutrino bubble was a form of neutrino pocket built around an object. (VOY: "Prime Factors")

Constable Odo, after being turned into a Solid by the Founders, found the fizzing sound of bubbles in beverages such as Bajoran ale seductive. Before he was a Solid, he never paid any attention to such characteristics of food or drink. Odo found it a pity that Klingon bloodwine had no bubbles. (DS9: "Apocalypse Rising")

Rom loved root beer, partially because of how "bubbly" it was, much to the dismay of his brother Quark, who thought the beverage was much too Human for Ferengis. (DS9: "The Ascent")
