Archer Spacedock was a spacedock constructed by the Federation near its Headquarters in 3190. Its purpose was to upgrade the existing fleet and construct the next generation of Starfleet vessels.

Archer Spacedock was unveiled by Federation President Laira Rillak during her speech to the first group of cadets to attend the newly reopened Starfleet Academy since the Burn. (DIS: "Kobayashi Maru")

Later that year, USS Discovery underwent repairs at Archer Spacedock after sustaining damage while exiting a subspace rift left by the Dark Matter Anomaly. (DIS: "Stormy Weather")

In 3191, Discovery returned to Archer Spacedock for repairs after stopping an avalanche on Q'mau. (DIS: "Red Directive", "Under the Twin Moons")

In the 33rd century, Discovery was returned to its pre-refit configuration at Archer Spacedock for its final mission. (DIS: "Life, Itself")

According to StarTrek.com, this spacedock was named in honor of Jonathan Archer [1](X); an instrumental of "Archer's Theme" from Star Trek: Enterprise plays during the scene where it is introduced in "Kobayashi Maru".

The station was designed by Lee Fitzgerald. His early concepts featured a less conventional, more organic cocoon-like aesthetic than the one that eventually appeared onscreen. [2]
