Action figures were small dolls, usually made to represent heroes or villains, that were often intended to be toys for children. However, some adults were also fond of action figures, as they could evoke a feeling of youthful nostalgia.

- Quark had a collection of Marauder Mo action figures from his boyhood that he had taken out of their original packaging, causing a depreciation in their value. (DS9: "Ferengi Love Songs")
- A small Talosian action figure could be seen on Rain Robinson's desk. (VOY: "Future's End")
- Captain Carol Freeman kept a Gorn action figure on display in her ready room aboard the USS Cerritos. (LD: "Much Ado About Boimler", "No Small Parts", "Mugato, Gumato", et al.)
- Brad Boimler had an action figure of Spock in his Starfleet uniform as well as a mirror universe Jonathan Archer that he called "Lil' Archer." (LD: "I Have No Bones Yet I Must Flee")
