Gyaos (ギャオス Gyaosu?) is a kaiju from the Rebirth continuity. It made its debut in the first episode of the 2023 Netflix-exclusive animated series, Gamera: Rebirth.

Appearance[]
Gyaos' design is reminiscent to the one utilized in the Gamera (50th anniversary short film), appearing as a pterosaur/wyvern creature with crimson skin, a malnourished frame, an arrow-sharp head, wyvern based wings with two thumbs each, two legs with three talons and a vestigial toe, and a long tail.
Larger Gyaos gain purple sections along their back spines and head.

Gyaos are capable of growing from a small stature to human size and gargantuan heights through sustenance.

Gyaos are capable of flying to great heights.
Sonic beam[]
The Gyaos' main weapon, a magenta beam fired through the mouth. The beam is powerful enough to dissect human body parts and pierce through Gamera's hide.
