Yamata no Orochi (八岐の大蛇 Yamata no Orochi?) is a massive eight-headed serpent that appears in the IDW series Godzilla: Rage Across Time.

Orochi is a large, eight-headed serpent with light purple skin and a red belly. Little of its body is actually seen in the comic book, really only its head. Their heads have curved jaws with large teeth and forked tongues with large crests on the back of their heads.
History[]
Godzilla: Rage Across Time[]
As a group of Mongols and Nebulans began to invade Japan using Gigan and Megalon, Japan's greatest warriors, Gorou Suda and Akio, went to the Shobijin's temple. After defeating a group of Heikegani, the two met Yamata no Orochi. The Shobijin would then appear, trying to get the two humans to control Orochi rather than killing him, enchanting Akio's arrow. Akio would fire an arrow at one of Orochi's heads, stunning Orochi and causing an explosion that summoned Godzilla. As Godzilla approached, the Shobijin gave Gorou an ancient relic to control Orochi just as Godzilla arrived. Orochi faced off against Godzilla, with the king of the monsters eventually winning and killing Orochi.

Before the fight between Godzilla, Orochi was able to tank one blast of atomic breath and getting body slammed by Godzilla before being incinerated by a second blast of atomic breath.
Heads[]
Orochi has eight heads with long necks they can use to bite down on enemies.
