Can you guess where this incredible structure is? 🤔    It's in Brussels! You're looking at the Atomium, a landmark monument originally built for the 1958 World's Fair, or Expo 58.    In 2006, Belgium minted 5 million €2 commemorative coins featuring its image! 🚀 The European space industry has just launched into a new era.     Last night, Europe's new heavy-lift rocket, #Ariane6, made its inaugural flight from Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana.    Just one hour after liftoff, the first set of onboard satellites were released from the upper stage and placed into an orbit 600 km above Earth.    The latest in Europe’s Ariane rocket series, Ariane 6 can launch both heavy and light payloads to a wide range of orbits for applications such as Earth observation, telecommunication, meteorology, science and navigation.    It is a key step towards a secure and autonomous European access to space. Suntem alături de prietenii noștri moldoveni în calea lor europeană.   We stand with our Moldovan friends and their European path.    This week:    📌 We provided €50 million under the Macro-Financial Assistance to the country, to which we will add €22.5 million in grants by the end of July.     With this disbursement, Moldova will be able to cover some of its immediate financing needs and keep the pace with the reforms.    📌 Moldova also signed the Joint Procurement Agreement in the area of health, joining forces with the EU and other participating countries in case of a serious health threat.    Starting now, the country will benefit from the EU Member States' and participating countries' combined purchasing power to buy essential supplies, such as medicines and medical equipment, in a health emergency.    Together, we are stronger.  Learn more here: https://europa.eu/!HyCcdD and here: https://europa.eu/!jhC44k    #EuropeanUnion

The EU: your lifeline abroad in case of emergency.    Losing your passport doesn't have to turn into a disaster!  The EU will stand by you.    𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲?  If you need help from your embassy or consulate outside the EU, and your own country does not have one there, you can get help from another EU country.    And because we know this right is important to you, we recently proposed to revise our EU #ConsularProtection Directive to strengthen even further coordination between EU countries.    With consular protection, make hay while the sun shines!     #EUintheWorld #EuropeanUnion
