🍽 Cooking is so much more than simply putting the food together. It’s a way to connect with others and taste diversity. Les Les Cuistots Migrateurs, co-financed by European Commission is a great example of it. Sport unites in diversity – and so does our Union!    The #Paris2024 Olympic Games officially kick off tonight, with the Paralympics to follow, for a sensational summer of sport until September 8.   The Olympics are promoting a more inclusive and sustainable society through worldwide cooperation, values also shared by the EU.  🇪🇺 countries are ready to carry this spirit into the competition. 🔵 Bulgaria and Cyprus receive 50 EUR million #EUfunding to upgrade external sea borders 🌊 ➡ Bulgaria will receive EUR 20 million for the upgrade of the Integrated Surveillance system “Blue border” with new radar devices, thermovision and daylight long range cameras. ➡ EUR 30 million will be allocated to Cyprus to strengthen the capabilities of their radar surveillance system. 🔎 These upgrades will strengthen the capabilities of the European Border Surveillance system (EUROSUR) which is a framework for information exchange and cooperation between EU countries and Frontex. The funding comes from the Border Management and Visa Instrument (BMVI) under the Integrated Border Management Fund (IBMF), following a call for the Specific Action “Electronic surveillance systems at the external sea border” that European Commission launched in May 2024. 🔗 Find out more https://lnkd.in/eWb2UQHh #securityEU #SchengenEU
