Vera Bradley is among the 15 brands worldwide using the TrusTrace solution for Forced Labor Prevention (FLP) in its supply chain. The solution collects primary data from suppliers, proactively screens it for risk against the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CPB) entity list and enables AI-powered chain of custody creation and document collection.

“At Vera Bradley, our commitment to sourcing responsibly is at the core of our business practices,” said Ayfer Yarcich, Director of Global Sourcing at Vera Bradley in a statement. “Mapping our supply chain and gathering purchase order data is a critical step in this journey. By integrating TrusTrace’s upgraded FLP solution, we are not only working toward a transparent and forced labor-free supply chain, but also aspiring to set a new standard in responsible and sustainable business practices.”

The TrusTrace solution collects primary data from suppliers that is specific to the context of the traced products, eliminating much of the irrelevant information generated by various sources. The solution provider has traced more than 2 million purchase orders to date and has mapped more than 55,000 suppliers and facilities globally.

The FLP solution can classify, extract and translate large volumes of documents in more than 100 languages, facilitating the creation of a digital chain of custody and reducing the likelihood of human error. In addition to checking against the CPB’s lists, the solution is designed to integrate with any relevant risk screening database.
