Kopek Grimm was a therianthrope and member of the Grimm family that resided in Grimmwald.[1]
Biography[]
Early life[]
His father Karl was a miner who opened a copper mine near the eventual site of the town, which he constructed with Kopek and his brother Kurt's help with the massive funds generated from the ore veins. Eventually, as the ore ran dry, their father began to swindle away, drinking and whoring his way into an early grave, meanwhile spending all of the family fortune trying to continue his lavish life. Before his death, he sold Grimmwald to the Hogge sisters; Kurt, angered deeply by his father's descent and the loss of the town, took Kopek and condemned the sisters beginning a life for the two as bandits, robbing and raiding on the road.
During this period, Kurt tried to keep his younger brother from seeing the horrors the men committed, such as rape or murder, though it still scarred Kopek deeply. Eventually, at a temple near Mirt, the gang assaulted a priestess who cursed them all as she killed herself. A few days later, the group were turned into lycanthropes: Kopek into a weredog, and his brother a werewolf. Kopek, hurt by this process, returned to Grimmwald to become a servant for the Hogges.[1]
Meeting Geralt[]
At some point afterward, the witcher Geralt of Rivia and his friend Dandelion came into town, where Kopek saw them talking of a werewolf problem and asking for leads. As he went to approach them, however, Red took their attention for her lead, and so he left. Later, he led them to their rooms and explained who he was, and that it was his brother who was the werewolf they were looking for. After a while of their searching, and strain from pretending to make peace with reality, Kopek killed Lea Hogge in his dog form while she slept. The following day, they all came to the manor and after being exposed as Lea's killer and getting into a fight with his brother, Brooke Hogge shot Kopek through the back of the throat with a crossbow.[1]
