Resist Impacts (レジストインパクト?), sometimes called Resistance Impacts,[1] is a stronger version of Guard Impacts, added in update Ver.2.00.[2] It's capable of repelling any attack including the unblockable ones and Break Attacks.[1] It is performed by pressing + and, instead of costing 10% of Guard Stamina like normal Guard Impacts, it costs half a bar of Soul Gauge to use.[1] Using Resist Impacts while Soul Charged won't cost any meter but, as with other Soul Charge-exclusive moves, it will slightly decrease the Soul Charge time.[1] A successful Resist Impact will recover a great amount of Guard Stamina although, unlike normal Guard Impacts, it won't increase the Soul Gauge.[1]
Just like how some characters have moves with Auto Guard-Impact properties, some characters have moves with Resist Impact properties instead. Most notably Amy, who has all of her moves with Auto Guard-Impact properties turn into Resist Impacts when her Red Rose Perception and White Rose Perception are both maxed out; and Haohmaru, whose Blade Catch works against all highs and mids (but not kicks). Moves with Auto Resist Impacts do not cost any Soul Gauge to use.
