Motohiro Okubo (大久保元博?) is the former producer of the Soul series. Prior to his position in Project Soul, Okubo was a producer for Tekken 7. Soulcalibur VI is his first game as the producer of Soulcalibur. Unlike his predecessors, he is completely fluent in English and is actively involved with the competitive community. He also served as the producer of PAC-MAN 99.
On August 31, 2021, Okubo officially announced his departure from Bandai Namco after 25 years of working with the company.[1][2]
On 27 April, 2023, Okubo was revealed to have become a CEO of Cygames' American branch at Los Angeles, California.[3]
