U.A. High School[]

Yuyu Haya[]

Nejire Hado and Yuyu Haya

Nejire talking about Yuyu.

Yuyu is the best friend of Nejire and her classmate and they seem to be close, in addition to referring to each other by their first name. Nejire has let Yuyu help her since her first year to prepare for the school festival's annual beauty pageant and for Nejire's latest beauty pageant, Yuyu guided her to victory by helping her prepare everything from her outfits to the content of her performance.[1]

In the preparations for the school festival of his third year and latest year at the U.A., Nejire calmly approached Yuyu and confesses to Izuku and Mirio that the first time she entered the beauty course was at Yuyu's suggestion, but admits that she has been having fun ever since. Yuyu wholeheartedly supports Nejire and helps her prepare for the contest in the days leading up to the Festival.[2] During the preparations for the contest, Yuyu defended Nejire when Bibimi insulted her outfit and became very angry when she thinks that Bibimi was trying to sabotage her after finding a nail in her shoe, but Nejire stops her and thinks it is some kind of mistake. Nejire went up to Yuyu, saying that even when she doesn't feel herself, she's still her, and that's everything she likes about her, part of the whole package, and seeing the things you don't like about yourself in a better light.[3]

Yuyu believes that no one can compare to Nejire's beauty and even calls her "the cutest thing in the galaxy"[4] and gets scared that Nejire cannot fulfill his wish to win. During Nejire's last Beauty pageant at the School Festival, Yuyu was determined that Nejire would win the beauty pageant explaining that Nejire doesn't need to compare herself to Bibimi because she has her own strength and cries with joy when Nejire wins the pageant.[5]

During the war Yuyu was concerned for Nejire and openly stated how upset she was over her hair being burnt.

Mirio Togata[]

Mirio Togata and Nejire Hado

Nejire upset at Mirio for not letting her explain his Quirk.

The two have known each other during their time at U.A. and both show concern for the other in difficult situations. Since she and Mirio have similar energetic personalities this often conflicts with Nejire's talkative attitude, much to her chagrin. However, this similar personality also makes it easier for both of them to talk and socialize with each other.

Nejire saw the efforts Mirio went through to excel at U.A. and constantly praises his Quirk and abilities. During his third year at U.A., Nejire told Mirio that his growth is extraordinary and tells him that he is happy that the whole school is recognizing him.[6] Nejire was shocked when Mirio challenged Class 1-A to a fight in the gym and during the fight, Nejire commented that Mirio has gotten stronger. When the fight is over, Nejire wants to explain Mirio's Quirk to the students and tells them the name of his Quirk, and got a little angry when Mirio didn't let her continue talking, causing Mirio to apologize to her.[7] Nejire became noticeably concerned for Mirio after Sir Nighteye's reunion, shown when she was actively trying to cheer him up and convince him not to be too hard on himself during his depression over Eri's situation. The night before the rescue mission, Nejire smiled at Mirio and encouraged him to put forth effort in the mission. Nejire was glad to see Mirio recover his cheerful and energetic personality.[8]

When Yosetsu mentioned the beauty pageant, Mirio mentions to Izuku and Eri that Nejire will participate in the pageant and Nejire was glad to see them. Nejire told Mirio that she wanted to win the Miss Con Beauty Pageant at the U.A. School Festival and he supported her and told her with confidently tells her that will win.[2] During her performance in the contest, Mirio looked at her impressed by her performance and Nejire noticed it among the audience and was glad to see it. After Nejire wins the contest, Mirio smiled as a sign of congratulation.[5]

During the Paranormal Liberation War, Mirio returned on the battlefield with his Permeation Quirk restored and Nejire got up to help him fight the close High-End Nomus. While they attended Best Jeanist, Mirio quickly asked Nejire if she was alright and Nejire was happy and tells him that its because he was there she was able to get back up and fight, despite being badly burned.[9]

In the past, it was revealed Mirio and Tamaki were Nejire's first two friends at U.A and are the reason she was able to be her cheerful self without fear of being judged by others.

Tamaki Amajiki[]

Nejire taking over for Tamaki after he tenses up.

The two have known each other during their time at U.A and have a close relationship. Tamaki treats Nejire's talkative attitude casually with tolerance and would attempt to keep that personality of hers in check when required. Nejire finds Tamaki's anxious personality silly, calling it 'kitten-hearted', which becomes her nickname for him, indicating she likes to tease him. Despite their opposing personalities, they have become good friends and are seen around each other a lot. Upon meeting Mirio and Tamaki for the first time, Nejire seemed keen on getting to know Tamaki as seen in Mirio's flashback. Nejire and Tamaki were both first recognized for their potential. When Tamaki is not around Mirio, he is usually with Nejire. Tamaki also helps her prepare for the pageant by taking photos. During her performance, Tamaki tries to encourage her before being overtaken by his anxiety of performing in front of crowds. Tamaki also seems to have a sense of appreciation and admiration for her as during her pageant performance, he compared her to an innocent fairy and congratulated her at the front.

After the Paranormal Liberation War, the two of them started working together, with Nejire taking note of his anxious personality.

When Nejire first arrived at UA, she was cold and distant due to everyone believing she looked down on them due to her strong quirk. However, Tamaki approached her and asked her what her favorite hero was, which allowed her to open up to others and lead to her cheerful attitude today. Nejire claims she along with Mirio know all about Tamaki.

Ochaco Uraraka & Tsuyu Asui[]

Nejire helped Ochaco and Tsuyu get an internship with Ryukyu. The three established a good relationship with each other since Ochaco and Tsuyu listened and cooperated with Nejire splendidly and the three girls were able to pull off two team attacks in a short amount of time. They got close enough that Nejire called Tsuyu 'Tsu', which is a nickname Tsuyu only allows her close friends to call her. They briefly met with each-other when Nejire, Tamaki, and Mirio where presenting for Class 1-A and they then met again in the same Hero Work Study.

Bibimi Kenranzaki[]

During their time at U.A., Nejire and Bibimi became rivals for the School Festival beauty pageant. Bibimi defeated her two years in a row and Nejire respects her and recognizes her beauty and decides to defeat her, trying to be like her.[2] In the preparations for the contest, Bibimi appeared in front of Nejire and the two clashed verbally and Bibimi insulted Nejire's dress, which depressed her a little.

Despite their initial enmity, Nejire knew that Bibimi did not intend to sabotage her and helped her when Mei Hatsume went to Bibimi for help. After helping Bibimi, Itsuka realizes that Bibimi and Nejire weren't competing on some notion of feminine beauty, but on their own notions that made them beautiful.[3] Nejire fell silent when Bibimi affirmed that the victory would be hers before the contest and when Nejire won the pageant during her senior year, Bibimi graciously accepts her defeat and shakes her hand in congratulations.[5]

Shoto Todoroki[]

Nejire and Shoto have a good relationship and strong teamwork skills. When Nejire first met Shoto she invasively asked him personal questions and about how he got his scar which made him uneasy. During the Paranormal Liberation War, Nejire and Shoto effectively teamed up against Tomura Shigaraki and combined special moves in an effort to defeat him, showcasing profound teamwork. Shoto also trusts her skills as he was prepared to fight with her while his father was unresponsive. After Dabi burns Nejire, Shoto frantically shouts her name in concern with tears in his eyes.

Pro Heroes[]

Ryukyu[]

Ryukyu helps Nejire

Ryukyu helps Nejire up after the fight.

Ryukyu is the hero Nejire was working with for her Hero Work-Studies and the two seem to have a fairly close relationship as teacher and student. Nejire admires Ryukyu a lot and is very attached to her, listening carefully when she speaks to her and following her orders without hesitation. Ryukyu hired Nejire to work in her agency and because of that, she is aware of Nejire's abilities and skills and recognizes her talent.

Ryukyu also seems to value Nejire's opinion, as she was willing to listen to Nejire's offer to recruit Ochaco and Tsuyu in her office. Unlike other people, Ryukyu is not bothered by Nejire's childish and noisy personality and treats her like a younger sister. Ryukyu congratulated her when she saw Nejire improve the range of her attacks and Nejire happily ran to hug her before Sir Nighteye's meeting, while Ryukyu did not object to Nejire hugging her and even opens her arms to receive the hug.

When Ryukyu transformed into her Dragon form to trap Rikiya Katsukame, Nejire was surprised but immediately led Ochaco and Tsuyu to help her and when Rikiya broke free from the Police Force, Ryukyu relied heavily on Nejire's abilities in the fight against Rikiya Katsukame and helped her up after Nejire got tired from the fight. During the Paranormal Liberation War, when she saw Ryukyu seriously injured in the fight against Tomura Shigaraki, Nejire displayed immense anger against the responsible Villain, a side she rarely expresses.
