Stron, a Vulcan stranded on 1950s Earth became frustrated with his life as a plumber. He found that being compared to the Stooge, Moe, was "intolerable" because he was a warp field engineer. (ENT: "Carbon Creek")
When Elim Garak, Benjamin Sisko and Odo were in Odo's brain, reliving life on Terok Nor, they were chosen by Quark, the Ferengi sarcastically stated "you three must be warp engineers," referring to their ability to follow directions. (DS9: "Things Past")
