The VCF Sh'vhal was a Vulcan Sh'vhal-type cruiser in service during the late 24th century under the command of Sokel.
In 2381, junior officer T'Lyn detected anomalous metreon particles from system 7743.8 using a personal algorithm to extend the range of the Sh'vhal's long range sensor scans. Believing the readings of significance, she successfully advocated to Sokel to adjust the ship's course to take additional readings.
The adjusted course would lead the Sh'vhal to come to the USS Cerritos' rescue in its battle with the IKS Che'Ta' and the Pakleds. Although briefly put in danger itself, T'Lyn's suggested improvements to the Sh'vhal's defenses allowed them to force the Pakleds and Klingons into retreat. At the conclusion of the battle, the Sh'vhal confirmed the Cerritos did not require additional assistance and continued on its way. (LD: "wej Duj")
