Background[]

Umrguy42 is a doctoral student in Computer Science at UMR. His interest in Star Trek began approximately 13-14 years ago. He would not describe himself as a "rabid" fan, although he long enjoyed reading practically every Star Trek novel he could get his hands on from the local library. He also has a small collection of TNG action figures, as well as the light and sound making TNG phaser and (oversized) communicator. He currently possesses the Special/Collector's/Director's Edition DVDs of all the movies up through Star Trek: First Contact. (He refuses however to shell out $100+, and still can't afford $50+ for a season of DVDs, and was not terribly impressed with Star Trek: Insurrection, or even Star Trek Nemesis.)
