The name of this ship appears to be a common^(X) misspelling of the name of the ancient Indian mathematician and astronomer Aryabhata.

A deleted scene from "Lift Us Where Suffering Cannot Reach" reveals that Pike was aboard the Aryabhatta when he met Alora in 2249.
