Tom Bookout (born 13 December 1953; age 70) worked as grip in the camera and electrical department of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Voyager, Star Trek: Enterprise, and Star Trek Generations. He also served as Best Boy Grip on the video game Star Trek: Borg. T. Bookout, a name on the dedication plaque of Enterprise NX-01, was named after him.

Prior to his work on Star Trek, Bookout worked as grip, best boy grip, and dolly grip on productions such as MacArthur (1977, with Randall Robinson), The Betsy (1978, with Gene Griffith), The Buddy Holly Story (1978, with Gene Griffith and Randall Robinson), the television drama Seizure: The Story of Kathy Morris (1980), the television drama Top of the Hill (1980), Under the Rainbow (1981, with Sunny Johnson), Love Is Forever (1983), The Prodigal (1983), the television drama Anatomy of an Illness (1984), Quicksilver (1986), La Bamba (1987, with Sam Emerson), Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988), Second Sight (1989), Avalon (1990, with David Katz), Defending Your Life (1991, with Randy Nolen), Bugsy (1991), and Jennifer 8 (1992).

Beside his work on Star Trek he worked as grip on Primal Fear (1996), and Reba (TV series)|Reba}}.
