Rename[]

Since this Instagram account is now doing logs for Lower Decks, I suggest we move the article to "Star Trek Logs (Instagram)". (The disambiguation is necessary because of Star Trek Logs.) —Josiah Rowe (talk) 02:33, 5 September 2021 (UTC)

Since the Lower Decks logs have their own article, I disagree. This page is specific to the Discovery logs. -- Sulfur (talk) 02:59, 5 September 2021 (UTC)

Ah! I made an incorrect assumption because somebody linked to this page from "Strange Energies" and "We'll Always Have Tom Paris". I'll go fix that. Suggestion withdrawn. —Josiah Rowe (talk) 03:23, 5 September 2021 (UTC)

Reliable Source of Info?[]

I was looking over Memory Alpha's guide for what sources of information are credible or canon, such as final scripts, series bibles, the official Star Trek website etc. Since these Instagram logs (and the ones for Lower Decks) are officially produced by Star Trek, and are intended to compliment their ongoing shows, shouldn't these logs be considered acceptable sources for biographical information about characters or information about events?

Thanks, The preceding unsigned comment was added by Chrom1030 (talkcontribs).

complement, not dictate. Basically you could extract a name of something that was otherwise unnamed, but that's the extent of what we allow from those sources. Ultimately these are not "aired" releases, integrated into or extracted from an episode, and so like the rest they would simply be background info. --Gvsualan (talk) 02:24, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
