According to this page, Mr. Frakes said that Naked Now was the worst episode of Trek that he worked on. That's a tall order, since at one point he didn't have many kind words for The Royale either. -- Adambomb1701 20:24, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

Trivia[]

This page currently has no trivia or similar section, but I wonder if this could be included:

My university-Greifswald in Northeast Germany- will have a lecture circle about Star Trek this semester titled "to boldly go...Star Trek and Science". Apparently this somehow got to Mr. Frakes and he sent a greeting card to my university, see [1]. Kennelly 11:43, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

I believe I've seen Frakes on an episode of Hill Street Blues. --Fenian 14:57, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
Yes, you have. I just haven't had the opportunity or the will to expand and update this page. Not that I'm the only one who can do it, I'm just one of the few archivists interested in spending their free time expanding an actor's page. :-P But I do plan on working on this in the near future. --From Andoria with Love 07:51, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

Mistake: Two-Takes Frakes

Jonathan Frakes did not get this nickname from his style of directing. That is commonly believed, but at a convention he explained the real reason for the nickname. The clip is on YouTube, though I am not sure where. The conversation went something like this:

Fan: Where did you get the nickname Two-Takes Frakes? Frakes: People often assume that it's because I'm a fast director that doesn't do many takes, but that's not true. It actually comes from what one of our frequent directors, [name not remembered], said to me on my first day of directing an episode. The scene had been filmed and I was happy with it, so was going to get it processed [or something similar] when he said to me Make sure you do two takes, Frakes. And that's where the nickname came from. It's nothing to do with my speed.

A conversation then took place with the other TNG actors that were on stage with him, confirming this and joking about his directing style.

I'm afraid I can't remember the name of the convention he said this at, or the date, but I think he may well have been on stage with Brent Spiner and Michael Dorn, though that may be incorrect.

Just thought I would point that out. :) Hope it was helpful.
