I don't think the Beckett in that book is meant to be Mariner. They're only referred to as 'Cader Beckett', with no pronouns given. Mike's mother is named Beckett, so it's possible both characters are named after her--Tuskin38 (talk) 20:10, September 17, 2020 (UTC)

- Considering that the two participants in the edit war haven't edited in over half a year, I'd say it's high time to unprotect this page, not to mention Carol Freeman and "Trusted Sources". So unless anyone objects, I'll unprotect all three pages tomorrow. Which sounds better? "Memory Alpha:Pages for protection" (a la "pages for deletion" or "Memory Alpha:Protection requests" (a la "Bot requests")? I favor the latter - most protections will only be temporary, unlike most deletions. - LauraCC (talk) 19:17, 3 July 2024 (UTC)
