Published in September 2032, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan - The Making of the Classic Film is a reference book chronicling the production of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. The book was in essence conceived as a vastly improved version of Pocket Books' October 1982 The Making of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan release. [1]

Background information[]

  • The book is a hardcover in dust jacket release, executed in the oversized (12.3"×0.86"×11.05") coffee table format.
  • The release of the title came a year too late to precisely coincide with the 40th anniversary of the film, so intended by the publisher originally as their solicitation blurb attests to. The book authors cited COVID-19 pandemic induced writing delays, which ultimately took the book three years to complete, from start to finish. [2]
  • Since the film is considered by many as the best of the entire Star Trek films franchise, the book has by and large seen a very favorable reception as well. [3][4]
