• The book is a hardcover in dust jacket release, executed in the oversized (11.06"×0.78"×12.29") coffee table format.
• Author Joe Fordham was no stranger to writing about Star Trek motion picture productions as he had been tenured associate editor of the visual effects magazine Cinefex for which he had submitted articles on two of the Kelvin timeline films. Stronger still, Fordham was not even a stranger to writing on Star Trek: Picard as he had also written the penultimate Star Trek piece for the penultimate Cinefex issue which dealt with the visual effects of Picard's first season. The Picard reference book was Fordham's second Star Trek-specific book publication.
