Musiker taking splinter
Splinter was a narcotic concocted by the Ferengi crime lord Sneed and distributed on M'talas Prime in the early 25th century. He named it thus because it felt like "being ripped apart and then pulled back together again and again and again." The drug was administered as an aerosol sprayed into the eye; those who took it became severely disoriented and susceptible to suggestion.
In 2401, Sneed demanded that an undercover Raffi Musiker take splinter to prove that she was not working for the Federation. She did so, despite her personal history of drug addiction, unaware that Sneed already knew she was not who she claimed to be. (PIC: "Disengage")
